Sr. Business Architect/Manager. As the Business Architect you will provide leadership, direction, advice, and assistance to clients in EA efforts that include leading activities to evaluate and incorporate business practices, standards, emerging technologies and products into clients’ EA. This individual will accept primary responsibility for the Business Architecture and Business Modernization leadership. They will employ business focused EA methodologies based on proven industry best practices and solutions within an EA framework. The Business Architect shall provide strategic and tactical support to the Government PM, their staff and teams in researching challenges and developing alternative solutions. The Business Architect shall provide expertise to ensure that enterprise architectures are business focused and cost-effective. The Business Architect will also provide technical expertise to help the client maintain continuity across the business, information, data, security, and performance architectures. The Business Architect shall author technical documents, concepts of operations, EA roadmaps, frameworks, EA templates, OMB reference models, baseline and target architectures, briefing documents and white papers. The Business Architect shall lead workshops, decision meetings, collaborative sessions, and deliver executive briefings related to a wide range of topics.
As manager the candidate will lead one or more discrete business projects or tasks. He/she will manage teams to accomplish business improvement tasks. Bringing together diverse teams and/or groups with common and divergent interests may require a neutral party to assist them in the use of problem solving techniques, performance measures and project indicators. Plans study of work problems and procedures such as organizational change, communications, information flow, integrated production methods, inventory control, or cost analysis. Gathers and organizes information on problem or procedures including present operating procedures. Analyzes data gathered, develops information and considers available solutions or alternate methods of proceeding. Organizes and documents findings of studies and prepares recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures or organizational changes. The manager confers with personnel concerned to assure smooth functioning of newly implemented systems or procedure. Conducts operational effectiveness reviews to ensure functional or project
An ideal candidate we seek should have: • A minimum of 4-6 years of civilian Federal Business Architecture delivery experience. • 2-4 years of experience in health IT with knowledge of clinical processes • 2-4 years Federal project management experience • 7-10 years of strategic planning, business modernization, process assessment, workflow analysis, information architecture, data analysis and impact analysis. • Strong working knowledge of the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA), OMB reference models, OMB and GAO maturity models, ESAR and FSAM experience preferred. • Knowledge of VA/VHA and Military Health systems a plus (VistA, CPRS, MHS) • The highest level of technical writing, speaking, and oral presentation skills. |
