Software Quality Assurance Process Manager, Atlanta The purpose of software quality assurance (SQA) is to provide management with appropriate visibility into the process being used by software projects for the products being built. SQA involves reviewing and auditing the project’s activities to verify that they comply with defined processes, procedures and standards. The SQA manager will perform audits on PSBD and IS projects
• Evaluate, audit and execute health-checks on multiple projects against the client’s life cycle process used to develop and maintain software work products and IS Project Management delivery process. • Provide visibility to management on how projects are adhering to the process and report quality metrics on a monthly basis. • Participate in the early planning stages of the project in establishing plans, standards, and procedures • Prepare RFP, RFI and sales quality documentation responses. • Continued development of client’s quality process for all quality areas and programs • Continued development of client’s quality policy and procedure manual • Prepare PSBD and IS product groups for CMMI, ITIL, ISO and PMI certifications • Continued development of client’s quality training program • Develop Quality Work Product Deliverables • Develop Quality Work Product Templates • Continued development of client’s life cycle process • Develop client’s quality escalation process • Develop client’s quality metrics
• Works with IS, PSBD and ATO Sr. Management, product management, project management, development, services, customer support and client’s customers.
• Authority to escalate issues to Sr. Management that can’t be solved within the business unit teams. Input into direct reports performance plans. • Will manage a staff of 1 to 2 direct reports. • Must be willing to travel 30 to 50% of the time.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required • Bachelor degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field experience • Must have excellent communication skills due to interface with both customers and peers. • Should have full development life cycle experience Should have experience with either SEI- CMM or CMMI Experience with CMMI SCAMPI assessments class A, B, C CMMI Certified lead auditor is a plus Should have experience with RUP (Rational Unified Process) and iterative life cycles • 8 to 10 years of SQA experience on large, medium, and small projects. Proven experience in leading organizations through CMMI Level 2 &3, ISO, ITIL and PMI certification process. |
